The school year started and a member of the family who works at the school was complaining about hot and cold-water accessibility. Especially with short breaks and changes throughout the day. My solution was to get a water dispenser like I saw at our old office. While looking around online, I discovered that a brand which we like – durability has a unit which will dispense hot water, cold water, and even make ice cubes. This was one of the no-brainer decisions, and I must admit that it works as advertised. You do need to follow the instructions and make sure you flush the system, but after the initial step, it is working without an issue. I was told that lots of other school personnel stopped by for a bit of ice. For hot water they use an electric kettle, which this dispenser beats hands down in ease of use (immediately). Cold water (unlike from this dispenser) is available, but again – this dispenser does that and in addition gets real ice cubes. A pleasure to use.

I have minor gripes with this water dispenser, but just because of personal preference and no fault of the machine itself. This is a top loader, so you'll need to physically lift the 5 gallon jug above the machine, then flip it upside down to insert it into the hole. This can cause a slight splash when you're reusing the water jug. Now, in terms of water temperature, it gets cold enough to be considered chilled, but it can only store about 20 oz of cold water before it starts to get room temperature. Same with the hot water. It cools and heats up fast, but not fast enough for a high traffic area (like an office, etc). For personal use, it is excellent. Lastly, the ice maker. It works quite well, and if you're a fan of bullet ice then this will satisfy your needs. The ice compartment is slightly refrigerated, so the ice won't melt instantly after you finish making them. Overall, I definitely approve this for home use.

I've been waiting a while to purchase a water dispenser and I'm so glad that I waited for this water dispenser that has an ice maker from Electactic. Simply put, I love it. Everything works perfectly. The ice is made in minutes, the water gets cold and/or heats up in minutes with minimum noise level. I also like that I can have room temperature water also with just switching off the cool button. I'm able to fill up my 40 oz stanley cup easily. The entire water cooler is extremely easy to use by following the included directions. I'm still getting used to operating the hot water dispenser which functions great but has an added step to operate. I purchased a 5 gallon jug and added spring to test before buying the 5 gallon deer park spring water at my local supermarket which I can switch out the empty bottle as needed. I was using about 4 cases of bottled water a month. Having the water dispenser has been so convenient. Having ice, cold and hot great tasting water made with spring water whenever needed, has made me very happy. The water dispenser takes up little space and blends in with my kitchen decor. The water dispenser with an ice maker is a great product and an excellent value for the price which I definitely recommend and use everyday.

Electactic Water Dispenser with Ice Maker You will need to source your own water bottle(s). You're looking for piercable water jugs in two, three, or five gallon size. I get mine at the grocery store but if you want the smaller sizes you may have to hunt for them. This is a very nice unit. The instructions claim it will accept 2, 3, and 5 gallon bottles. I have a five gallon on it right now and it performs well. Instructions claim it will make a tray of ice every nine minutes. I'm getting even better performance, 7m 16 seconds per tray in a room that's about 75 degrees F. The control panel has a child lock. To dispense cold water you press the button and let go and the water keeps going. You press again to stop it. The hot water has a child lock so there is an extra button press. The unit is louder than my refrigerator but it's not so loud that it would annoy me while watching TV. A five gallon bottle of water is around thirty-five pounds so if weight is a concern for you look for the smaller sizes. The unit alone is fairly light weight and can be moved around easily. Once you put the water bottle on it you pretty much have to live with where it's at.

We had a water dispenser almost 30 years ago and loved it, but eventually it wore out. This has been a fantastic replacement. The cold water gets really cold. My biggest question was whether the ice would stay frozen in the bin overnight, and it does. It is very easy to use, and the buttons make it very clear what to push in order to get hot or cold water as well as ice. It only takes a few minutes to make ice, and the nice part is the bin holds a lot of ice at a time, so I haven't had to wait on it since I first installed it. I have it in our breakfast room so we pass by it several times a day, which is an easy reminder to drink more water. It looks sleek and fits in well. The only time I really hear any noise from it is when it's making ice, which doesn't take long. If I were to change one thing, it would just be that it was a little taller. I'm not very tall at 5'3", but I do lean over to get a glass of water and/or ice. I'm thinking about getting a small table to set it on, which would solve that. It easily holds different-sized jugs of water. I initially used even a small 1-gallon jug on it, and it worked fine, although I normally rotate between two 5-gallon jugs. I really appreciate having the ice in the same machine. We have an ice machine that sits on the counter, but it gets dirty so fast. I am going to get rid of that one now that I have this all in one spot and reclaim my counter space. This is competitively priced and a great deal for the money!

This water dispenser is fabulous. I was honestly surprised that it makes ice in addition to dispensing hot and cold water.
It is very well made, looks nice, and does not feel cheap at all. The deep black finish gives it a clean, modern look, and it feels like a useful addition for a home or office.
I was also pleasantly surprised that I can use 2-gallon bottles with it. That matters to me because lifting larger bottles can be difficult, so having the option to use smaller ones makes it much more manageable.
My only wish is that it were bottom loading instead of top loading. That would make it easier to use with heavier bottles. But even with that, I’m very happy with it.
I think the price is reasonable for what you get, especially since it combines hot water, cold water, and ice making in one machine.
Overall, I’m very happy with it and would definitely recommend it.

If you need an office water cooler, this machine does it all. Hot, cold, and ice at the touch of a button.
Setup was simple and it can start making ice very quickly. It's been performing well for a few weeks now and we couldn't be more pleased.
Quiet operation (except when making ice, which is as expected) it has a barely noticeable hum that is a pleasant change from our old machine. It is about six or eight inches shorter than the old unit, so you may want to consider adding a base if you are taller or prefer not to stoop.
The hot water feature works well for tea, although maybe could be a touch hotter. I'd recommend following the manufacturer's advice and discarding the first batch of ice to avoid off flavors.
Overall a great little water cooler at a great price at time of review.

Work good. This water cooler was easy to set up. The hardest part for me is lifting water bottle. I've worked good & pretty fast.

For two years my wife has been asking me to get a water dispenser. For that long I have resisted - until this showed up in my feed and I thought what the heck....wait a minute, it has an ice maker too? That's fed by the purified water! You mean I don't have to fill the water in my countertop ice maker every day? You also are telling me that by using purified water I don't need to descale it every month! I was sold!
The actual unit is pretty nice. Dispensing with touch sensitive buttons you press the button once to start the flow and again to stop it. Hot water is dispensed by first unlocking it then pressing the hot dispense button which is an adequate and simple child safety mechanism though I do worry a little that a child could "mash buttons" enough to get hot water to come out - in that case there is a "lock" mechanism too.
The hot water has been more useful than I imagined allowing me to make some of the bowl ramen noodles that I do honestly like (don't hate me - they do make higher end ones that aren't that bad!).
The ice is the "bullet" kind. I would prefer sonic ice but it really isn't that bad and it makes a lot of it very quickly!
