FAQs

When the system detects that the total water flow has reached 15 liters, it will issue a descaling reminder. Follow the instructions in the manual to perform descaling.

The most common fix is to pre-heat your machine. Simply brew a double shot of hot water through an empty portafilter into your cup to warm everything up.

After every use, wipe the hot water/steam wand with a damp cloth thoroughly, and then start the steam function for 5 to 10 seconds to remove any milk residue.

This doesn’t mean your machine is leaking. Semi-automatic coffee machines are designed to release pressure and drain excess water into the drip tray after brewing or steaming.

If you notice clear water under or on the back side of the machine, the water tank may not be fully inserted.

1.Check the hot water function by turning the knob to the hot water position.

2.Perform a factory reset: With the machine on, press and hold both the Power Button and Bean Grinding Button for 3 seconds.

3.Adjust your grinder to setting 18-20

I bought this coffee machine for my husband as a gift, and he is absolutely delighted with the quality and taste of the coffee it makes. It’s just like coffee from the best coffee shop.

GREAT for our kitchen!

I am determined that this espresso machine will be the beginning of my world-class latte art career. While I anxiously await that magic day, we love this newest addition to our kitchen! We ordered it in white, and it's beautiful. It's so easy to use; there was zero learning curve. At first, my husband thought there was an issue with the steam as he couldn't get the milk hot. Turns out it was user error, and it makes excellent foam. We got a nice crema on the espresso, and I will iterate any time someone asks about flavor that it always, always starts with bean quality and roast. You do not need an espresso roast; any roast you like will work, and every roast will produce a different flavor profile. After that, it's about the grind size and how hard you tamp the espresso. Play around with it and see what works for you. Certainly, the built-in grinder that grinds directly into the portafilter is a winner in this process. We are so happy with this and recommend it for any first-time espresso machine users.

works well, good quality

This is my first fancy coffee machine that you need to tamp your grounds for. It takes a little practice to get used to it and learn how things work, but it comes with instructions and is easy to use once you know how. I'm excited about having the steam wand. That was an extra selling point for me with this machine. The machine is of great quality and works well. It makes really good coffee and there is no black plastic parts which are not healthy. I'm very happy with this machine and looking forward to trying out some specialty coffees like lattes and cappuccinos. There are so many different options to try.

Kitchen Barista Kit

This kind of espresso machine is meant for those who want cafe style beverages at home without depending on a separate grinder or several pieces of equipment. By combining grinding, brewing, and milk frothing into one countertop unit, it can theoretically manage anything from a straight shot to a latte or cappuccino. From what I’ve seen, once it’s assembled, it really does seem like a mini barista station. I appreciate the many built-in options, particularly the adjustable grind settings and the capability to flip between single and double shots. It allowed me to try out various beans and fine-tune the flavor, instead of being restricted to a single preset style. Another highlight was the steam wand, which allowed me to prepare specialty drinks at home rather than going out whenever I craved something beyond regular coffee. It’s easier to justify not going to the coffee shop when there’s that flexibility on the kitchen counter. Nevertheless, I believe that the price is a bit steep. Although it comes with many features, achieving consistent results takes some practice, particularly for those who are new to espresso. There may be a learning curve for some individuals regarding grind size, tamping, and shot timing. I’ve also seen mixed experiences from other users, with some praising its performance and others mentioning occasional issues with parts feeling loose or the milk system not working as smoothly as expected. In my view, it performs well overall, but it doesn’t entirely eliminate the trial-and-error aspect associated with home espresso machines. In general, I’d describe it as a feature-rich choice for those who want an all-in-one setup and take pleasure in the drink making process instead of simply pushing a button and leaving. It provides the means to prepare cafe drinks at home, but whether it seems worth the expense will depend on your usage frequency and the value you place on those additional features.

Beautiful & Beginner-Friendly Espresso Machine

I absolutely love this espresso machine! As a first-time espresso maker owner, I was hoping for something easy to use, functional, and aesthetically pleasing—and this checks all the boxes. It works fantastic so far. The setup was straightforward, and the directions were clear and easy to follow, which made the whole process feel much less intimidating as a beginner. I also really appreciate how organized everything is, and it’s easy to clean out after use. One of my favorite features is the versatility—I’ve been able to make not just espresso drinks but also tea lattes, which is a huge bonus. And the cream color is gorgeous! It’s going to look so beautiful in our new kitchen. The only minor thing I’ve noticed is some milk residue left on the frother after use, but honestly, that feels more like part of the learning curve. It comes off easily with hot water, and I clean it daily as recommended. Overall, this is an amazing starter machine and a fantastic value for the price. Highly recommend for anyone getting into at-home espresso!

Barista-Level Coffee at Home – My Favorite Daily Ritual ☕

I absolutely love this espresso machine. I use it every single day — usually twice a day — and it has completely upgraded my coffee routine. The Kismile Espresso Coffee Machine with built-in grinder truly feels like having a little café right on my kitchen counter. One of my favorite features is the integrated 30-setting conical burr grinder. Being able to adjust the grind size depending on the type of beans I’m using makes such a difference in flavor. I’ve experimented with lighter and darker roasts, and the precision settings allow me to fine-tune everything until I get that perfect extraction. The grinder is consistent and smooth, and I love not having to use a separate appliance. The 20-bar pressure system combined with the 1500W motor delivers rich, full-bodied espresso with a thick, beautiful crema on top every time. The shots taste strong but balanced — not bitter, not watery. It honestly rivals what I get from coffee shops. Whether I’m making a quick single shot in the morning or a double shot when I need an extra boost, the programmable options make it easy to customize. The steam wand is another standout feature. It froths milk beautifully and gives me that creamy, velvety texture for lattes and cappuccinos. I’ve even practiced a little latte art because the foam quality is that good! The hot water option is convenient too, especially when I want to make an Americano or tea. Switching between modes is simple and intuitive with the single knob design. I also really appreciate how user-friendly it is. The removable 2.3L water tank means I’m not constantly refilling it, and the detachable drip tray makes cleaning up quick and easy. Maintenance feels manageable, which is important since I use it so often. Everything feels solid and well-built — not flimsy or cheap — and the ETL certification gives added peace of mind. Overall, this machine gives you so many options in one compact design: grinding, brewing, steaming, and customizing your drinks exactly how you like them. It’s powerful, versatile, and reliable. If you’re someone who loves espresso drinks and wants quality without leaving the house, this machine is absolutely worth it. It has become one of my favorite kitchen appliances, and I genuinely look forward to using it every day.

Good Quality Espresso Machine, But Color Was Disappointing

There was definitely a bit of a learning curve with this espresso machine, especially since it was my first time using one. There are quite a few small parts, and some of them were actually taped up inside the machine itself. So if you’re trying to figure out where certain pieces are when you first open the box, make sure to check inside the unit because a few components are stored in there. Once everything is set up and you figure out how it works, it’s actually not too difficult to use. It seems like a quality machine and it does a good job making espresso. It’s also fairly easy to clean, which is always a plus with something like this. My main disappointment was the color. It’s described as a white unit, but it’s definitely more of an off-white or cream color. I had thought it would be closer to silver based on what I expected, so I was a little disappointed when I saw it in person. The color takes away from some of the “fancy” look I was hoping for. Overall, it works well and seems well made, but the color just doesn’t feel very distinguished to me, so it’s not something I personally want sitting out on my kitchen counter.

Top of the line espresso machine for your home coffee bar!

This Kismile Expresso Coffee Machine is essentially the Cadillac of compact home machines. It has the built in grinder to make and grind your coffee fresh each morning and really perfect your home beverage game. It's pretty much set up right out of the box and has everything that you need, including the steamer cup and multiple filter options for various grinds. I did have some issues at first with mine not having the pressure right and my shots having no crema to them. But I read through the manual really quickly and saw that I was using the wrong filter for the coffee I was putting in there, and that tweak immediately fixed the issue. The steamer works great and is easy to clean. I also appreciate that the arm of it is long enough that you can easily put your cup on the drip tray to let it steam your milk for a minute without you having to hold it the entire time.

5 STARS

This little espresso machine is small but effective. From a former green apron barista, I really love it. It was very easy to set up and start brewing right away. The instruction booklet was very helpful in walking you through all of the steps necessary to grind your beans, pull your shots, and steam your milk. There’s tips for perfecting your grind settings and detailed cleaning instructions. The steaming wand is probably what I was looking forward to the most. It aerates the milk well and makes at home lattes and cappuccinos a breeze. As much as I love a handheld milk frother, there’s no comparison to well steamed milk. I really like using the steaming wand for matcha and hot chocolate as well! I would definitely recommend this for a nice upgrade to your at home coffee set up.

A great starter espresso machine with room to grow

I've owned espresso machines before, so I came into this with a basic understanding of how they work, but the Kismile had a few quirks I had to get used to. Overall though, I think this is a solid entry-level machine and a fantastic starter kit for anyone looking to learn the art of brewing espresso at home. First, let's talk filters. The machine comes with both a single shot and double shot basket, and both are available in single wall and double wall versions. Single wall filters are better suited for freshly ground coffee beans since the coffee itself creates the resistance needed for a good extraction. Double wall filters have a built-in layer that helps compensate for older coffee or pre-ground beans, making them a bit more forgiving. Having all four options included is a nice touch and gives you flexibility depending on what coffee you're working with. After a quick read through the instruction manual, I had a good grasp of how everything worked. One thing that threw me off at first was how the grinder operates. To grind for a single shot you press the grind button once, and for a double shot you press it twice in quick succession. Simple enough once you know, but not totally intuitive. My bigger issue with the double shot grind is that it consistently grinds way too much coffee. I always end up having to shake a good amount out before I can tamp and fit the portafilter into the machine properly. Speaking of tamping, I really appreciate that the included tamp is solid metal. Some competing machines include a cheap plastic tamp that feels flimsy and doesn't give you a consistent press. This one feels like it belongs in a proper espresso setup. The milk frothing wand works well for making lattes and cappuccinos. I'll be honest, steaming milk is a skill and I'm still working on it, but after watching a couple of videos online I was able to produce a decent enough foam for a latte. It gets the job done. My one ongoing challenge has been dialing in the grind size. I was never able to achieve that silky, smooth espresso shot I'm used to, but I think that's more about finding the right bean and grind combination than the machine itself. Both the single and double shot brewed to the expected volume consistently, which shows the machine is performing correctly. One last thing I have to mention is the color. I got mine in Creamy, which is a really nice off-white tone. It's a refreshing break from the standard chrome machines you see everywhere and looks great on the counter. The Kismile comes with everything you need to get started: a built-in grinder, multiple filter options, a milk frothing jug, a metal tamp, and several cleaning tools. If you're new to espresso and want a machine that gives you room to learn and experiment, this one is worth a look. I haven't nailed my perfect shot yet, but I plan to keep experimenting with different beans and grind settings.

My first machine leaked upon arrival, so I couldn’t properly review it until now. The supplier sent a new machine with a bottom gasket that seals against the water tank, so I was finally able to put it through its paces. This espresso machine comes with everything a beginner needs to get started down the rabbit hole to making a good espresso drink - 58mm portafilter with both pressurized and open flow baskets, nice heavy tamper, steaming pitcher, and conical burr grinder. The grinder has a fine to coarse setting, and recommends using the lower settings for medium and dark roasted beans. We have been using the #12 fine setting for a medium/dark roast and it’ provide a nice smooth but robust flavor shot. The consistency of grind seems to be fairly even, with little variation in size, so that's a good thing. You single press the grind button for a single, or hit it twice for a double shot. The steamer is also fairly easy to use - once all the white lights come on across the board, you can use the steaming wand to make your froth or steamed milk to your liking with the provided pitcher. The one shortfall that I can see with this unit is that there is no temperature gauge, so you can't gauge water temp and will therefore need to "hunt" for the sequence that gives you the smoother taste you are looking for. The right grind size in combination with water temperature is going to give you a pretty decent shot of espresso that you can hopefully reproduce time and time again. Overall, this has been a decent machine to use once I got my hands on one that worked. It's a good starter machine, with the major deficiency being adjustable temperature control, or at the very least a gauge to monitor it. It's an easy machine to use once you can get your grind size and temperature sequence nailed down with trial and error. Otherwise you will be chasing a way out of bitter and tangy shots. It's a mostly plastic housing versus their upper tier version that is stainless, so it depends on your preference in matching your other kitchen appliances. As for functionality, it's a good basic machine with very little room to control pressure and temps, so not a lot of experimentation except with grind. For $300, it's a decent machine. Kudos to the supplier for making it right!

Great coffee everyday!

This is my first time using an espresso machine. I’ve successfully made TWO latte! They taste just like what I bought from a coffee shop! So satisfying and love my new toy! Still trying to figure out the use of some pieces which apparently doesn’t affect use. Recommending Kismile upload some videos on YouTube explaining all parts and first use instructions.

Highly recommend! ☕

I once gifted a coffee machine to a friend for their birthday, but I didn’t have one myself until now. Finally having my own espresso machine feels so special. It looks beautiful on my counter and makes my mornings much more enjoyable. I love being able to grind fresh beans and make coffee at home anytime. Such a nice little upgrade to my daily routine. Really happy with this purchase !!

Sleek modern design that matches my kitchen decor. The coffee tastes fantastic. It’s a little noisy while brewing, especially early in the morning.
